I started tying and using this version of the Brown Hackle Peacock in 2004 for summer run steelhead; in 2004 I hooked sixteen steelhead with this fly, landing nine.

Seven pound native steelhead caught 27 July 2005 on a #12 Brown Hackle Peacock.

Six pound native steelhead caught 29 July 2005 on a #10 Brown Hackle Peacock. You can see the fly in the corner of this fish's mouth.
